Researchers, academics, and industry practitioners are warmly invited to submit their work for presentation at FUSION 2025 – The 7th National Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction. We welcome high-quality contributions in the form of article that present novel research, ongoing studies, innovative methodologies, and thought-provoking ideas related to HCI, UI/UX, interaction design, and emerging technologies.
In addition, we strongly encourage industry professionals and organizations to submit white papers that showcase real-world applications, case studies, UX strategies, product innovations, or reflections on ethical and sustainable design practices. This platform aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
All submitted papers will be subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest quality and relevance. Accepted submissions will be published in the official FUSION 2025 Symposium Proceedings, which will carry an eISSN and be published by myHCI-UX, providing authors with increased visibility and academic recognition. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the HCI community, gain feedback, network with peers, and disseminate your work to a national audience of researchers, students, and professionals.
Authors will submit papers through CMT. The FUSION2025’s review process will be double-blind, i.e., the names of the authors will be hidden from the Reviewers, and the names of Reviewers will not be revealed to authors. Papers must be fully anonymized before submission and a paper that is non-compliant with the anonymization or other paper submission rules (e.g., paper length) will be desk rejected. Reviewers will bring concerns about potential rule breaches to the attention of the Program Chairs. Each paper must be submitted with Primary and Secondary areas selected from the CMT system. These areas, the stream, and the paper itself, will be used by the automated TPMS paper matching system embedded in the CMT system to identify potential reviewers.
Selected high-quality papers presented at FUSION 2025 will be invited for post-symposium publication in one of the following reputable journals, subject to further review and revision:
- International Journal of Software Engineering and Computer Systems (IJSECS)
- Journal of Applied Technology and Innovation (JATI)
- Journal of Digital System Development (JDSD)
This provides an excellent opportunity for researchers and practitioners to extend the impact of their work beyond the symposium, reaching a wider academic and professional audience. These journals are known for publishing cutting-edge research and practical insights in the fields of software engineering, digital systems, innovation, and applied technologies.
By participating in FUSION 2025, you not only gain the opportunity to present and discuss your work but also to publish in well-regarded academic journals enhancing your research visibility, academic profile, and career development.
With the theme “Humanizing Intelligence,” the 7th National Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) invites scholars, designers, technologists, and industry practitioners to explore the intersection of intelligent systems and human values.
As we advance toward a more intelligent and interconnected digital future, it becomes increasingly important to ensure that technology enhances human experience, promotes inclusivity, and upholds ethical standards. FUSION 2025 serves as a multidisciplinary platform to showcase innovative research, real-world applications, and critical reflections on human-centered design and interaction.
We welcome contributions related (but not limited) to the following focus areas:
- Theory, Concepts, and Methods – Foundational and emerging approaches in HCI and UX research.
- UX and Usability – Design practices, heuristics, evaluation methods, and user satisfaction studies.
- Interaction Techniques and Modalities – Touch, gesture, voice, AR/VR, multimodal and novel interaction methods.
- Privacy and Security – Ethical AI, data protection, user rights, and trust in digital systems.
- Health and Well-being – Assistive technologies, mental health tools, digital therapeutics, and inclusive design.
- Games and Play – Game design, serious games, gamification, and play as a form of interaction.
- Computational Interaction – AI-driven interfaces, automation, adaptive systems, and behavior modeling.
- Sustainability – Designing technology for sustainable behaviors and long-term ecological impact.
- Learning and Education – EdTech tools, digital literacy, learning experience design, and scaffolding.
- Other Pertinent HCI Topics – Any emerging or interdisciplinary topic that aligns with the spirit of HCI.
Join us in shaping the future of ethical, intelligent, and human-centered technology.

Your submission will be double-blind reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
The Doctoral Consortium (DC) at FUSION2025 offers a valuable platform for PhD students engaged in research related to human-computer interaction (HCI) to share and refine their research goals, methodologies, and preliminary findings. Designed to support students in the early stages of their doctoral journey, the DC fosters a supportive environment where participants receive constructive feedback to help advance their research and prepare for a successful academic or professional career. The consortium also encourages meaningful interaction among peers, experienced researchers, and the wider HCI community.

FUSION 2025 Student Design Challenge (SDC) is a competitive event that showcases students’ problem-solving and design abilities in proposing solutions for real-world issues facing our nation and the world. It highlights the core of designing and building prototypes with a user-centric approach while tackling significant global concerns identified in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It encourages students to look into innovative solutions that not only improve user experiences but also help to create a more sustainable and inclusive world. The subject focuses on the junction of technology, design thinking, and social responsibility. This competition is organized by the Kuala Lumpur ACM SIGCHI chapter or myHCI-UX in conjunction with FUSION2025. POSTER
