26th Oct 2017 – Towards the Fourth Industry Revolution, human interaction with computers and computational products is central in product design. Thus, myHCI-UX has taken the initiative to gather academicians and practitioners in consolidating the HCI curriculum for institutions of higher learning (IHL). This initiative hopefully helps IHL to breed future talents with essential knowledge and skills. The workshop was hosted by our UiTM colleagues, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Adilah and Dr. Afdallyna. It was an honour to have Dr. Nor Laila as the facilitator. The participants were representatives from various Malaysian IHL public and private universities – namely UTM, UKM, IIUM, UUM, UTP, UNITEN, Monash University, UM, USIM, MMU, UPSI and not forgetting our host UiTM – as well as practitioners from MDeC and Aleph One Sdn Bhd. Our heartful thanks to the host for such a wonderful event. For participants, it is amazing to see how you guys – academia and practitioners – can work together as a team to produce a sought after HCI curriculum. Hope we can escalate this to be adopted in our very own IHL classes soon!
